Official Sweepstakes Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

The 2023-24 LaLiga Experience Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on September 14, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on November 22, 2023 at 11:00 p.m. ET (the “Sweepstakes Period”). By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Verizon Corporate Services Group Inc. (“Sponsor”), which are binding and final in all respects.

1. ELIGIBILITY.

The Sweepstakes is open to individuals who: (i) are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their state at the time of entry in the Sweepstakes; (ii) are legal residents of the states of Connecticut, New Jersey or New York residing in the following counties: Bergen, Bronx, Dutchess, Essex, Fairfield, Hudson, Hunterdon, Kings, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Nassau, NY, Ocean, Orange, Passaic, Putnam, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Somerset, Suffolk, Ulster, Union, Warren, Westchester; and (iii) are NOT in one or more of the “Prohibited Persons” categories listed below. Any entry submitted by any ineligible person will be void.

Prohibited Persons. The following individuals are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes: (i) current and former employees (including, but not limited to, consultants, independent contractors, temporary employees, and interns) of Sponsor, LaLiga North America, LLC, (“Administrator”), and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, authorized agents, retailers, sales representatives, distributors, suppliers, advertising agencies, promotion agencies (hereafter collectively, “Sweepstakes Entities”) and immediate family members of each such individual; and (ii) all individuals (including, but not limited to, consultants, independent contractors, temporary employees, former employees, and interns) who have, within the past six (6) months, performed services for Sweepstakes Entities. “Immediate family” members include spouses, grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren, whether by marriage, past marriages, remarriage, adoption, cohabitation or other family extension.

2. HOW TO ENTER.

There is one (1) method of entry for the Sweepstakes. During the Sweepstakes Period, visit https://verizon.laligaus.com/traveltospain/ and accurately complete and submit the entry form. Once you have completed the foregoing, you must agree to the Official Rules and Privacy Policy and click the “Participate and check Fios Coverage” button (each an “Entry”). Entries must be received by 10:59:59 p.m. ET on November 22, 2023.

3. CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL ENTRIES.

Limit one (1) entry per person and per email address during the Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes. All received entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned, and no correspondence will be entered into. Any attempt by an entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and/or logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified if discovered by Sponsor. The use of automated entry devices or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Sweepstakes is prohibited. Any individual who attempts to enter using false contact information or who uses any unauthorized device or artifice to enter using a false identity, as determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. If there is a dispute as to who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the email address in question. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, or damaged entries or for technical, hardware, software or device malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes that may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error that may occur in the processing of the entries in the Sweepstakes or other failures of any sort, fire, epidemic or pandemic, explosion, act of God, riot or civil disturbance, war, terrorist threat or activity, any federal, state or local government law, or any other cause not reasonably within Sweepstakes Entities’ control. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for printing errors in these Official Rules.

4. WINNER SELECTION.

Random Weekly Drawings. During the Sweepstakes Period, ten (10) weekly drawings will be conducted to randomly select one (1) First Prize winner and two (2) Second Prize winners from among all eligible entries received the applicable week, for a total of thirty (30) weekly winners, as indicated in the chart below:

Grand Prize Drawing. On or about November 23, 2023, one potential Grand Prize winner will be selected via random drawing by Administrator from among all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

Potential prize winners must meet all eligibility requirements and comply with these Official Rules to qualify for any prize. The Sponsor’s decisions are final on all matters relating to the drawing. Limit one (1) prize per person during the Sweepstakes Period.

Termination. If Sponsor cancels, terminates, modifies, or suspends this Sweepstakes for any reason (including, without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes), Sponsor will select potential prize winners by random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received during the Sweepstakes Period prior to termination, or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If Sponsor does so, Sponsor will post notice of its action at https://verizon.laligaus.com/traveltospain/.

5. PRIZES / ODDS OF WINNING.

Prizes and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”).

One (1) Grand Prize: The “LaLiga Experience” for winner and guest, which includes: two (2) round trip air tickets between New York and Spain; ground transportation to and from LaLiga events; two (2) nights hotel stay (one (1) double occupancy room); meals; and two (2) tickets to a LaLiga match (total ARV for Grand Prize is $4000). All transportation and accommodations are provided at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winner and guest must be both be at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in their state of residence to participate in the LaLiga Experience.

Weekly First Prize: One (1) LaLiga club jersey of winner’s choice (ARV $90).

Weekly Second Prize: One (1) replica of an official LaLiga ball (ARV $15).

All expenses and costs not expressly listed above, including, but not limited to, federal, state or local taxes on the value of the prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner and, if applicable, winner’s guest. Prizes are not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prize details and availability are subject to change, in which case Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any portion of prize not used by winner is forfeited and no cash substitute will be offered or permitted. Prizes are subject to all additional terms applicable to use of the prize and are subject to the terms and conditions thereon. Prizes offered are provided “as is” with no warranty or guarantee either express or implied by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for loss, delay, or damage in delivery of prizes. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible Entries are received but in no event will more prizes be awarded than are provided for in these Official Rules.

Odds of Winning. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

6. WINNER NOTIFICATION PROCESS.

Administrator will attempt to notify potential winners via email and/or phone, using information provided on the Entry form. Potential winners will be required to follow prize claim instructions provided and return all necessary prize claim documents within five (5) business days from the date of notification. Potential winners must complete and sign a Prize Acceptance & Liability Waiver and a Publicity Release before the Prize will be awarded. The prize will be forfeited in the event that: (i) the potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, including any eligibility requirements set forth herein; (ii) the prize notification or attempted notification is returned as undeliverable; (iii) Sponsor does not receive timely response to prize notification; or (iv) a potential winner declines the prize offered. If time permits, Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner by applying the criteria set forth above.

Grand Prize Winner will be issued an IRS 1099 Tax Form reflecting the fair market value of the prize. Winner agrees to fully cooperate with Sponsor relative to its reporting of prize award to the Internal Revenue Service, including provision of his/her Social Security Number and an IRS Form W-9 in conjunction therewith.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS.

By accepting a prize, the winner grants to the Sweepstakes Entities the right to use winner’s name, likeness, image, voice, hometown and biographical information for commercial purposes in advertising, trade and promotional content, including on the internet or via wireless application protocol, without further notice, compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. Government employees who win a prize may be subject to ethics and gift rules of their jurisdiction.

Additionally, by accepting any prize, the winner (and guest, if any) agrees to abide by any travel and venue health and safety measures in effect at the time of the LaLiga Experience, which may include, but are not limited to: wearing masks, completing a health survey and/or temperature check, providing proof of vaccination status and/or providing proof of negative COVID-19 status. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or testing following the CDC travel restrictions and the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de España restrictions, may be required for entry into Spain or reentry into the United States. Passport, photo identification and credit card or cash deposit may be required at hotel check-in for incidental charges (e.g., room service, use of telephone/IT services, laundry and all other optional extra services) not included.

The winner (and guest, if any) assumes all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from, or relating in any way to, the risk of contracting a communicable disease or illness—including, without limitation, exposure to COVID-19 or any other bacteria, virus, or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness, whether that exposure occurs before, during, or after the LaLiga Experience, and regardless of how caused or contracted—and hereby waives any and all claims and potential claims against Verizon and any reward providers relating to such risks, hazards, and dangers.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual from further participation in the Sweepstakes if Sponsor concludes, in its sole discretion, that such person: (i) has attempted to tamper with the entry process or other operation of the Sweepstakes; (ii) has disregarded or has attempted to circumvent these Official Rules; (iii) has committed fraud or attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes; or (iv) has acted toward any Sweepstakes Entity or any other entrant in an unfair, inequitable, annoying, threatening, disrupting or harassing manner. Tampering includes attempting to enter more than the number of times permitted herein, including through the use of any prohibited device or method. If a dispute arises regarding compliance with these Official Rules, Sponsor may consider, in its sole discretion, data reasonably available to Sponsor through information technology systems in Sponsor’s control, but Sponsor will not be obligated to consider any data or other information collected from any other source.

8. INDEMNIFICATION / LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY.

By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release, waive and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities, and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, retailers, sales representatives, distributors, and advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents, from all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs or expenses of any kind (including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees) resulting from the entrants’ participation in this Sweepstakes, the entrants’ acceptance, use or misuse of any prize or element thereof, (including any travel related thereto), including installation of the prize elements, and any travel or event-related activity in connection with the Sweepstakes. Neither the failure of Sponsor to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Official Rules or the failure, delay or omission by Sponsor in exercising any right with respect to any term of these Official Rules, will be construed as a waiver or relinquishment to any extent of Sponsor’s right to assert or rely upon any such provision or right in that or any other instance. If there is a conflict between any term of these Official Rules and any entry or marketing materials used in connection with this Sweepstakes, the terms of these Official Rules will govern.

9. GOVERNING LAW.

ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST WILL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, USA WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OF CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE’S LAWS.

10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION.

By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that: (i) all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or prizes awarded, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court in New York, to which the participant submits to personal jurisdiction; (ii) all claims, judgments, and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased, and any other damages except for actual out-of-pocket expenses. Some jurisdictions do not allow for limitations on the ability to pursue class action remedies, or certain kinds of damages, and so these limitations may not apply to you.

11. PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Any personal information supplied by you to the Sweepstakes Entities will be subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy posted at https://www.verizon.com/about/privacy/full-privacy-policy and terms of use posted at https://www.verizon.com/about/terms-conditions/terms-of-use. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you authorize Sponsor and Administrator to communicate with you by email using your email address provided in connection with the Sweepstakes.

12. WINNERS LIST.

You may request the name of the winner by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the name of the Sweepstakes on the envelope and addressed to: LaLiga North America, LLC, 423 West 55th Street, Floor 11, New York, NY 10019. Requests must be received no later than fourteen (14) days after the Sweepstakes ends.
